In Dnipro, a robber assaulted a woman, stole her bag, and attempted to flee. This was reported by "Vydomo" citing the National Police of Dnipropetrovsk Region.
The crime occurred on January 4 at around 7:00 PM on Halyna Mazepa Street in the Amur-Nyzhnodniprovsk district of the city. An unknown man approached a woman who was returning home, struck her several times in the face, and when the victim fell to the ground, he snatched her bag containing personal belongings and tried to escape.
Witnesses of the incident did not remain indifferent – they detained the perpetrator and called the authorities.
Police arrived at the crime scene and arrested the suspect in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
On January 5, investigators informed the 38-year-old suspect of charges under part 4 of Article 186 (robbery committed under martial law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty for this crime is up to 10 years of imprisonment.
