Deputy Anatoliy Derkach from the Marganets City Council declared a building and a land plot valued at 2.25 million hryvnias. However, Derkach's official income would not have allowed him to purchase such an expensive property. As a result, the court confiscated assets worth over 2 million hryvnias from the deputy. This was reported by "Vidomo," citing NAPC.
The Appellate Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court confirmed the legality of the seizure of assets valued at over 2.2 million hryvnias belonging to Deputy Anatoliy Derkach of the Marganets City Council.
This pertains to a residential house with an area of 283 square meters located in Dnipro and the land on which it sits.
Upon analyzing the property situation and income of the deputy, it was found that part of the funds necessary for the purchase of this property, specifically 2.25 million hryvnias, was not supported by legal income.
Consequently, the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office filed a lawsuit in the High Anti-Corruption Court to recover these assets for the state, and the court granted this request.
"Following the review of the lawsuit, the court satisfied the prosecutor's demands, deeming part of the assets, specifically the residential house and land plot in Dnipro, unjustified, and ordered the defendant to pay 2,258,503 hryvnias," the agency's statement reads.
It is known that Anatoliy Derkach was elected from the "Batkivshchyna" party and is the head of the public organization "For the Fight Against Corruption and Illegal Activities."
