27-year-old Alexander Kanazirsky, the deputy head of public landscaping in the city of Yuzhnoe, Odessa region, was killed on the spot, while 26-year-old Georgy Arabadji, an inspector of public landscaping in Yuzhnoe, and 45-year-old Vladimir Vasyura, a security guard at the Sky Loft hotel, were injured.
30-year-old Rashevsky discarded his gun and fled, but later surrendered to the police. He has been arrested and charged with intentional homicide. Another participant in the conflict, 29-year-old Bogdan Vykazin, was also detained.
Recently, videos of the beginning of the incident surfaced online. Hotel surveillance cameras captured that before the fatal incident, Dmitry Rashevsky was beaten unconscious.
When he regained consciousness, he had already drawn his weapon. Meanwhile, the struggle continued involving his acquaintance. Four armed individuals approached Rashevsky and knocked him down again. The final conclusion of this deadly incident will be determined by the investigation, but it can be inferred that Rashevsky was facing a life-threatening situation from the attackers at that moment, which led to the decision to use his weapon.
