A large-scale series of thefts has been uncovered in Kryvyi Rih, with damages amounting to nearly 350,000 hryvnias, orchestrated by a previously convicted local resident. Over the course of two months, the 50-year-old perpetrator committed at least 13 burglaries from apartments, demonstrating remarkable persistence and organization. This information was reported by "Vidomo," referencing the police of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
The suspect's criminal activities began at the end of August this year and continued until his arrest. His methods appeared to be quite refined. He acted quickly and efficiently, minimizing the risk of detection. He targeted both valuable items and easily sellable goods.
Among the stolen items are expensive electronics, including professional power tools that can be swiftly sold on the black market. The case also involves computer equipment, the latest model mobile phones, gold jewelry, household appliances from well-known brands, significant amounts of cash, as well as documents and bank cards belonging to the victims.
During the search, not only was a portion of the stolen property discovered and seized, but also a rather impressive "arsenal" of illegal weapons, including 100 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, as well as a hand grenade.
The police of the Kryvyi Rih district police department, unit No. 4, have informed the suspect of his charges related to a series of property crimes.
An investigation is currently underway.
