Let’s take a look at the prices of vegetables such as cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, and potatoes. We will refer to statistical information from the Minfin portal for this analysis.
Specifically, the price of potatoes has increased on average from 22.16 UAH/kg last month to 29.23 UAH/kg. Young potatoes now cost 37.90 UAH/kg, up from 26.20 UAH/kg.
White cabbage has risen in price from 28.22 UAH/kg to 32.20 UAH/kg. However, young cabbage is cheaper than in September, costing 61.77 UAH/kg compared to 67.22 UAH/kg.
The average price of white onions has gone up from 27.75 UAH/kg to 31.90 UAH/kg. Bulb onions are selling for an average of 14.55 UAH/kg, while blue onions are priced at 27.15 UAH/kg.
Cucumbers and tomatoes have shown the most significant price jumps. Cucumbers soared in price from 66.37 UAH/kg to 89.29 UAH/kg. Smooth cucumbers are sold for 99.90 UAH/kg, prickly ones for 89.90 UAH/kg, and short-fruited cucumbers cost 99.00 UAH/kg.
The price of red tomatoes has surged from 73.99 UAH/kg to 94.96 UAH/kg. Pink tomatoes increased from 77.56 UAH/kg to 104.90 UAH/kg. Meanwhile, plum tomatoes are available for 89.90 UAH/kg.
