Seven years behind bars: a verdict has been reached in Dnipropetrovsk region for an attempted murder.

The Dnipropetrovsk regional court has issued a guilty verdict against a 54-year-old man, finding him guilty of attempted murder of a fellow villager, resulting in a seven-year prison sentence. This information was reported by "Vідомо," citing the police of Dnipropetrovsk region.

The case began with an unexpected quarrel between the accused and his 36-year-old acquaintance. The conflict quickly escalated into a violent attack. The accused inflicted several serious stab wounds on the victim. The injured party, sustaining critical injuries, was urgently hospitalized in the intensive care unit of a local hospital, where he received professional medical assistance. Thanks to the prompt intervention of the doctors, the man's life was saved. However, he sustained severe injuries that will require a lengthy recovery.

An investigation conducted by experienced investigators revealed that the actions of the accused corresponded to Article 2 of Part 15 and Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (attempted murder). The volume of collected evidence allowed the investigators to bring charges against him and forward the case to court for consideration.

The court proceedings were held openly. The court's decision has already taken effect.
