Attempted to track down the attacker on his own: a resident of Pavlograd ended up in the hospital with a concussion.

The court proceedings in Pavlograd regarding a criminal case have concluded. An entrepreneur, while attempting to independently investigate the arson of his trade tent, became a victim of an attack and sustained severe head injuries. The man was trying to identify those responsible for setting fire to his trade tent on August 23 of this year. This was reported by "Vydomo" citing "Behemoth."

The incident occurred on the night of August 25, 2024. In his quest to find the arsonist, the victim reached out to an acquaintance. That person, intoxicated and with friends at his summer cottage, unexpectedly encountered the enraged entrepreneur. A dispute over the arson that took place on August 23 quickly escalated into a fight.

The accused, succumbing to emotion and the influence of alcohol, grabbed a stick with a metal tip that was lying nearby. With the first strike, the accused hit the victim on the forehead. The victim attempted to defend himself, but this did not deter the aggressor – he delivered a second blow with the same object to the right parietal region of the head.

As a result of the brutal attack, the victim sustained extremely serious injuries. A medical examination recorded an open penetrating traumatic brain injury, a second-degree concussion, accompanied by compression of a laminar epidural hematoma in the right parietal area. Additionally, a depressed fracture of the right parietal bone with bone fragment impact was diagnosed. The fracture affected both lambdoid sutures and the occipital bone scale.

The injuries were so extensive that they even affected the auditory apparatus: doctors confirmed traumatic perforation of the left eardrum.

During the court proceedings, the accused admitted his guilt. However, the case is not limited to merely establishing the fact of the crime and guilt. The court had to determine the degree of responsibility and impose a punishment commensurate with the severity of the harm caused.

The issue of the arson of the trade tent remains unresolved, and the perpetrators have still not been found.
