The Security Service of Ukraine has detained five accomplices of Russia who were attempting to establish a "rebel movement" aimed at destabilizing Ukraine. This was reported by "Vідомо" citing the SBU.
The security service neutralized the subversive activities of the pro-Kremlin organization "Working Front of Ukraine," which, at Russia's behest, sought to create protest movements within our state.
According to the case materials, the perpetrators, under the guise of promoting neo-communist ideas, encouraged Ukrainians to rise against the authorities and lay down their arms in front of the Russian invaders.
Among other things, the suspects urged citizens of conscription age to evade mobilization, and current servicemen not to follow their commanders' orders and to desert.
The agitators also suggested that Ukrainian defenders form so-called "soldier committees" to collectively refuse participation in combat operations at the front.
To disseminate Kremlin narratives, the offenders created pages for their organization on various social media platforms, which garnered more than 30,000 followers.
Additionally, the suspects were actively posting propaganda postcards with QR codes of the hostile organization and calls to disrupt mobilization throughout the streets of Ukrainian cities. Each day, they visited no less than 30 locations to place their "leaflets" on bulletin boards or simply on the walls of buildings. They set up underground "printing houses" in their homes to produce propaganda materials.
The Security Service apprehended five organizers of the enemy cells during special operations in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Poltava, and Kharkiv regions.
All the detainees are local residents aged between 20 and 32. Some of them are students, while others are employees or unemployed individuals, acting under the coordination of a representative from Russia, referred to as the "union curator" from Russia.
During searches, law enforcement discovered large quantities of hostile propaganda materials, communist literature, computers, and mobile phones with incriminating evidence.
