Although meteorologists predict some warming over the week, as reported by "znaj.ua", when daytime temperatures in certain regions reach +16 °C, the cold nights suggest that snow is not far off.
During a briefing, Natalia Ptukha, a representative of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, provided insight into the anticipated arrival of snow beyond the Carpathian region.
She noted that while a prolonged snow cover is unlikely in the near forecast, the first noticeable changes in weather may occur in early November.
According to meteorological models, a cyclone may form in early November, which could bring precipitation, including rain mixed with wet snow.
Ptukha also mentioned a recent trend towards shorter cold seasons, with winter periods now lasting approximately 10-15 days less than in previous years.
Furthermore, forecasts indicate that the upcoming winter months will generally be warmer than usual, with average temperatures exceeding the climatic norm by 1.5-2 °C.
