Police apprehended the Tesla driver involved in a fatal accident in Pavlograd.

Investigators have issued a notice of suspicion to the perpetrator of a fatal accident in Pavlohrad, who fled the scene of the crash. This was reported by "Vідомо" referring to the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Region.

The traffic accident occurred on October 18 at 20:30 on Poltavska Street in the city of Pavlohrad. Investigators determined that the driver of a Tesla vehicle entered the oncoming traffic lane and collided head-on with a Chevrolet Aveo, after which he fled the scene.

As a result of the accident, the 30-year-old driver of the Chevrolet died at the scene. A passenger in the vehicle sustained injuries.

During the pre-trial investigation, the investigators identified the man responsible for the fatal accident. On October 19, he was apprehended during a search in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

The perpetrator of the accident was served a notice of suspicion under part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He faces imprisonment for a term of three to eight years, along with a ban on driving vehicles for up to three years or without such a ban.

The court has chosen a preventive measure of detention for him.
