Police in Dnipro apprehended a man for attempting to set a car on fire in the city center (PHOTOS, VIDEO).

On November 11, in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Dnipro, an unknown man attempted to set fire to a car parked by a woman near her home, according to "Vydomo," referencing the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk region.

The moment of the attempted arson was captured on surveillance camera.

Law enforcement officials located and apprehended the suspect, who turned out to be a 33-year-old resident.

On November 28, investigators informed the man of his suspicion of committing a criminal offense under part 2 of Article 15 and part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – deliberate destruction or damage to property. He faces up to 10 years in prison. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
