Officials from one of the communal enterprises in Pavlohrad will face penalties for allowing sewage to flow into the Samara River. This information was reported by "Vідомо," referencing "Бегемот".
According to court documents, the officials of the Pavlohrad City Council failed to properly fulfill their duties regarding the protection of the natural environment, resulting in water pollution in the Samara River amounting to 167,143.98 UAH.
Records have been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations (ЕРДР) as of March 27, 2024, indicating signs of a criminal offense under part 1 of article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The court has ordered temporary access to the original documents, specifically the originals of the documents related to the inspection of KP "…" of the Pavlohrad City Council, in accordance with the decision of the Economic Court of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, which established the amount of damages at 167,143.98 UAH.
Part 1 of article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine states that official negligence is punishable by a fine of 2,000 to 4,000 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens or corrective labor for up to 2 years, or restriction of freedom for up to 3 years, with the deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in specific activities for up to three years.
