The city of Korets, located in the Rivne region, has recently announced plans to revise the rates for centralized water supply and sewage services.
According to a report on the city council's Facebook page, the current rates have been in effect since 2020. Residents are currently paying 20.58 UAH per cubic meter of water, while budget institutions are charged 28.73 UAH per cubic meter.
The decision to adjust these rates is driven by rising costs, including increased prices for electricity, fuel, wages, and taxes.
New calculations indicate that water supply rates for residents will more than double, reaching 50.74 UAH per cubic meter. For budget institutions, the rate will increase to 62.43 UAH per cubic meter. Meanwhile, sewage rates will rise to 68.42 UAH per cubic meter for residents and 88.09 UAH for budget institutions.
In addition to water supply services, the city council has also announced plans to adjust waste collection rates. For residents of private homes, the new rate may be set at 24.27 UAH per person per month, while for residents of apartment buildings, it could be 20.23 UAH per person.
