In Kryvyi Rih, two employees of a public organization will stand trial for orchestrating an illegal scheme to smuggle conscripted individuals across the border. This information was reported by "Vidomo," citing the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
The cost of the illegal service was set at $8,500.
On August 16, 2024, the suspects were apprehended while receiving funds from an individual of conscription age. During searches, approximately $10,000 and mobile phones were seized in the act. Additionally, a Mitsubishi ASX10 belonging to one of the suspects was confiscated and placed in an impound lot.
The perpetrators have been notified of their suspicion under Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal transportation of individuals across the state border of Ukraine) and have had preventive measures imposed.
Investigators have gathered evidence and established the involvement of two local residents, aged 49 and 41, in the smuggling of conscripted individuals across the state border of Ukraine outside of designated crossing points.
The criminal case has been forwarded to the court.
