Promised to assist with disability claims: Head of a medical department in Dnipro exposed for misconduct.

A corruption scheme related to the assignment of disability groups has been uncovered in Dnipro. The head of one of the departments at a local medical institution has been detained by law enforcement agencies on suspicion of bribery. The woman is accused of receiving a substantial bribe of 5,000 US dollars and 10,000 hryvnias. This information was reported by "Vідомо," citing the Dnipropetrovsk regional prosecutor's office.

According to the investigation, the department head promised a resident of the Dnipropetrovsk region to assist in assigning her daughter a second disability group (the girl has been a third-group disabled person since childhood). This was of significant importance for the family due to the mobilization of the girl's brother. Obtaining a second disability group for the sister would allow him to receive a deferment from military conscription under the partial mobilization currently in effect in Ukraine.

The head's detention occurred at the moment she was receiving the bribe. Following the arrest, searches were conducted in her office and at the suspect's residence. During these searches, money, documents confirming the bribery, and notes that may contain information about other similar cases were seized.

The investigation into the case is ongoing.
