On the afternoon of October 24, 2023, while patrolling the city of Samara (formerly known as Novomoskovsk), a patrol police crew noticed a suspicious man. His behavior raised justified suspicions among the law enforcement officers, prompting the inspectors to approach him for a preventive conversation and document check. This was reported by "Vcidomo," citing the patrol police of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
As soon as the patrol officers approached, the man attempted to flee, showing a clear unwillingness to engage with law enforcement. He abruptly turned and tried to run away. The pursuit did not take long—the man was quickly caught and stopped.
The inspectors had a conversation with the man, during which they established his identity and the circumstances of his presence in that area of the city. Subsequently, in accordance with established procedures, a superficial check of the citizen's personal belongings was conducted. As a result of this check, five small polyethylene bags (commonly referred to as "slip bags") were found in the pocket of his jacket, containing a substance that resembled a narcotic.
The appearance of the substance, its quantity, and the method of packaging led the patrol officers to suspect that the discovered substance could be narcotic.
Currently, the case regarding the suspicion of illegal possession of narcotic substances is at the preliminary investigation stage, and a criminal case has been initiated.
Earlier, we reported that in Ukraine, a network of drug cartels operating in the Dnipropetrovsk region was uncovered.
