In Dnipropetrovsk region, a man was throwing drugs over the prison fence.

A 37-year-old man was detained by the police in Synelnykove on suspicion of drug dealing. This was reported by "Vydomo" citing the National Police of Dnipropetrovsk Region.

It was noted that the suspect threw a package of methadone over the fence into a correctional colony.

The illegal activities of the individual were documented by officers of the Synelnykove District Police Department in collaboration with staff from the Synelnykove Correctional Colony on November 18. The drug dealer turned out to be a 37-year-old man with a previous conviction from Dnipropetrovsk region. Law enforcement seized the psychotropic substances and sent them for examination.

The man was informed of the suspicion under Part 2 of Article 307 (illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment, or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, or their analogs) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

He faces up to 10 years behind bars.
