A proofreader from Dnipropetrovsk region has been sentenced to 5 years in prison.

The Novomoskovsk District Court of the Dnipropetrovsk region found a local resident guilty.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, a local resident has been found guilty of illegally disseminating information regarding the locations of Ukraine's defense forces. This was reported by "Vідомо" citing "Sудебный репортер".

From February to July 2022, the defendant created a message on his mobile phone: "This evening, a column of tanks on trailers and KrAZ tractors left Cherkasy (93rd Mechanized Brigade) heading towards Kharkiv. Meet the Tank Company (10 vehicles)." He posted it on the website disqus.com, accessible to unidentified individuals in the Russian Federation.

Between April and June, the perpetrator published two more similar messages about the movement of military equipment towards Kharkiv.

During the trial, the man did not admit guilt. A total of 86 records were found on his phone, posted on a Russian military-analytical resource.

As a result of the criminal case, the man was sentenced to 5 years in prison.
