Cyber specialists and investigators from the Security Service of Ukraine have apprehended an agent of the enemy FSB who was planning to set fire to the vehicles of Ukrainian soldiers in Dnipro and was also coordinating strikes by the Russians in the region. This was reported by "Vідомо" citing the SBU.
According to the case materials, the primary task of the individual was to establish the coordinates of the Armed Forces of Ukraine units in the Dnipropetrovsk region and to document the consequences of Russian shelling in Dnipro.
After some time, the FSB supervisor assigned the perpetrator a new task: to carry out a series of arson attacks on the service vehicles of the Defense Forces and facilities of "Ukrzaliznytsia".
Following the occupiers' instructions, the individual personally created an incendiary device using flammable mixtures, a detonator, and a remote control module.
At a designated time, the agent was to place the finished device under a military vehicle of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and remotely activate it.
Before carrying out the attack, the individual "tested" the device near a railway track, informing his Russian curator about it.
If the potential target was successfully destroyed, the agent received an "order" from the FSB for further destruction of military vehicles and relay cabinets.
Cyber specialists uncovered the enemy accomplice in advance, documented his crimes, and detained him.
According to the investigation, the FSB agent was a 48-year-old locksmith from a local enterprise, possessing practical knowledge in chemistry.
He came to the attention of the Russian special services as an active user of Russian Telegram channels, where he left comments in support of Russia's war against Ukraine.
During searches, a mobile phone was seized from the detained individual, caught in the act.
Investigators from the Security Service informed him of the suspicion under part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (state treason committed in conditions of martial law).
The investigation is ongoing. The perpetrator is currently in custody. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
