Case involving two dozen hectares of forest: A former deputy head of Dnipropetrovsk region has been set a bail of 15 million.

The former Deputy Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, Vladimir Orlov, has been notified of suspicion in a case involving the allocation of 19 hectares of land in a forested area, as reported by "Vydomo".

During the selection of a preventive measure, a bail of 15 million hryvnias was set for him. Additionally, he is prohibited from leaving Kyiv and the Kyiv region without permission; he must inform authorities of any changes to his residence and/or workplace; he must refrain from contacting certain individuals specified in the court's ruling; he is required to surrender his foreign passports for safekeeping and wear an electronic bracelet.

According to the investigation, at the beginning of 2024, a private company approached Orlov regarding the lease of a forest plot measuring 19 hectares. Consequently, the allocation of the plot was approved, but the businessman was hinted that a favorable decision would cost 200,000 dollars.

The NABU and SAP have informed Orlov of the suspicion regarding his request to provide unlawful benefits.
