Many Ukrainian drivers, aiming to minimize refueling stops, transport fuel in portable containers. However, it is crucial to adhere to regulations to avoid fines.

According to part 1 of Article 132-1 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses, drivers are permitted to carry no more than 60 liters of fuel in portable containers.

For specialized vehicles designed for fuel transportation, the limit is set at 1500 liters.

Since fuel is classified as hazardous material, non-compliance with these rules results in a fine of 510 hryvnias. The police conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to these regulations, and violations incur penalties.

Drivers are advised to follow safety rules when transporting fuel to avoid fines and ensure road safety.
